About Us

Hammond Park Pool is a private, non-profit, community swim club, conveniently located in southern Howard County, Maryland, in the Hammond Village neighborhood, close to the intersection of Route 29 and Johns Hopkins Road. We are a family-oriented pool offering swim lessons; the Stingrays swim team, recreational swimming and social events. The pool holds over 200,000 gallons of water. The main section of our pool has 6 lanes and is 25 meters in length. One lane is continuously dedicated for lap swimmers. There is a 3-foot shallow section perfect for smaller kids, graduating to 5 feet. We also have a dedicated baby pool for our younger swimmers as well as a playground.  A deep water well goes to 12 feet and includes a diving board and slide. We also offer Wi-Fi to all our members. Additionally, there is an ADA chair available for easy pool entry. With activities for both children and adults, the Hammond Park Pool is a great place to spend your summer days!  The Hammond Park Pool is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day.  Check Here for Pool Hours

Nestled on 6 wooded acres adjacent to Hammond Elementary and Middle Schools and Hammond Park, the Hammond Park Pool has been a mainstay of summer fun since 1969, with an active membership from several surrounding neighborhoods and their Stingrays swim team which competes in the Central Maryland Swim League Division 2.

Today, the Hammond Park Pool is home to a wide array of members, from families with kids to military service members to grown-up swimmers who participate in the new Manta Rays adult swim group. Their slogan “Where neighbors become friends” is evident especially during the evenings and on weekends when members roll out the grills and enjoy each other’s company over burgers and hot dogs. In addition to swim meets and school parties, members enjoy a variety of food trucks, adult social events including a crab feast and a wine tasting, plus movie nights and impromptu evening s’mores over the fire pit.
